This is not the article you want to read.

Mostly everyone wants to read about how they can quickly gain followers or how to be a better writer. This is not that article. This is an article about how to be a nicheless digital transient, so stop having a niche for just a second and read further.

Wait. Stop. Okay. Here are three ways to be niche-less:

Talk about Your Feelings

The great thing about being human is that we are multi-faceted. In one day we can go from feeling exuberantly happy to down-pour crying, and that’s the beauty of being human. We are filled with many emotions and Medium allows us to express them. If you want to be nicheless, then talk about your feelings occasionally.

Talk about Your 9 – 5 job.

After talking about your feelings, the next day you can write about a business industry you know little about. Some of us are professionals giving great advice on Medium, while others are looking to express themselves on the platform and work a 9 — 5 job that may not require a degree. If you work at the gas station, for example, you could write about how the guy at pump eight drove off with the gasoline hose still attached to his car. This is pretty nicheless.

Talk about Your Dreams

This is not good sound advice to give on Medium, but you could talk about your hopes and aspirations or literally just your dreams. Like the dream you had last night about walking into the office with no pants on. It’s pretty random.

Last Thoughts

If you can write about these three random subjects in a week, you might be considered nicheless. I read countless articles about how you need to have a niche on Medium to be successful on it, but if you don’t care and just want to express yourself, then write about random subjects. Nicheless to say, you may not have a large following or get numerous reads, but at least you’ll have expressed yourself.
